Grant Hill Retirement & Career Highlights

1995 Rookie of the Year & 1994 3rd Overall Draft Pick 40 year old Grant Hill has decided to retire from the NBA on Saturday after being in the league for 19 years. Being one of my favorite players it was a let down knowing that Grant Hill wouldn't be able to play in what was going to be his last year in the NBA as a Los Angeles Clipper. Grant Hill's once explosive career was ultimately slowed down by an ankle injury only a week before the 2000 NBA Playoffs, and attempting to play through it caused him to eventually miss out on about 4 years of his career. The ankle injury had Hill going through many surgeries over the upcoming years, and almost even killing him due to infection but he still played at an All Star level when he had the chance. Grant Hill only had 6 healthy playing years in the NBA even though joining the Phoenix Suns in 07' & being able to play as many games per season reminiscent to his Detroit Piston years.

Grant Hills career achievements are as follows.
  • 7 time NBA All Star
  • NBA Rookie of the Year
  • 2 time NBA Sportsman
  • NBA Rookie All First Team
  • 4 time NBA All Second Team
  • NBA All First Team
  • 1996 Olympics Gold Medalists
  • 17,137 Career Points
  • 6, 169 Rebounds
  • 4, 252 Assists
