@MartyaLaMode: May 21st - Judgment Day or Just Another Day

May 21st Judgment  Just another day…
In the beginning of the month signs stating that “Judgment Day is May 21, 2011” have been slowly appearing all over the place. “Family Radio” a nonprofit Christian group in Oakland is responsible for these warnings, and they believe “Judgment Day/Armageddon” will be next week (May 21st). For those who are unaware of what “Judgment Day” or “Armageddon” is, it’s simply what Christians believe to be the return of Christ. The people of “Family Radio” have derived to their theory of “Armageddon” by what they believe to be accurate readings of the Bible, and being able to calculate the anniversary of the flood of “Noah’s Ark”. The “Anniversary” of the flood that Noah endured was calculated by the “Family Radio” group to be exactly 7,000 years ago on May 21st 2011, to even grasp why that means something to this group is to understand the power of the number 7. Mathematics happens to be a deep language which is often used by Scientist, Conspiracy Theorists, Occults, and multiple Religions.

For instance…
The Kabbalah – Number 7: Stands for Equilibrium, contracts, agreements, treaties, bargains, harmony, or discord. It may also stand for the Moon, or that God created the world with seven divine attributes which are kindness, perseverance, harmony, humility, severity, royalty and foundation.

Five Percenters - Number 7: Stands for God. Allah is God; black man is the Supreme being and original God, while Allah is the Lord of the worlds. They consider God to be the Sun, while Woman is the Moon, and Children are the Stars.

Bible – Number 7: Represents completion and perfection from the start of the Bible, because God rested on the 7th day then blessed & sanctified the day. Jesus also is said to have had 7 last words while on the cross, Jesus told Peter if someone sinned against him up to 7 times to forgive them 70 times 7 times. The book of Revelations also has references to the number 7 numerous times from 7 angels and trumpets, to the 7 plagues.

Islam – Number 7: The Islamic religion believes in 7 big sins, 7 skies, 7 layers of the Earth, and 7 doors to hell.

Symbolism – Number 7: Represents magical forces, and is considered to be a mystic number.

Now I bring this up to compare it to the thought some have on May 21, 2011. Remember that according to “Family Radio” May 21, 2011 will be the 7,000 year anniversary of the Flood in the Bible. It is said that the world’s population should be reaching the 7 billion mark as of the year 2011, Israel was also said to be captive to the Babylonians for 70 years. Israel plays a key part in these views on Christ’s return because Christ is said to return to Israel & Psalms 83:4-6 states “Come, they say, let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more. With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you.”
Luke 21:3 “When you hear of wars and revolutions, do NOT be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”

One thing is for sure about people, we are unsure about the future and uncertainty causes us to seek answers until we find one we feel is right to us. Anyone who actually reads the Bible would know that the Bible states in 1st Thessalonians 5:2 “You know very well that the day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night.” Thessalonians 5:2 clearly means that when it’s time for the Lord to return he will do so without any initial warning, a thief wouldn’t let you know when he’s striking so any attempts to announce the day or year would be deceptive.   Some of these Biblical groups get so deep into the Bible that they may even stray from initial teachings, such as Proverbs 3:5 “With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment.” Proverbs 3:5 basically means that if we truly believe in the Lord we shouldn’t depend on our own wisdom and understanding, but on his because he knows the road for us to follow. Every man thinks and comprehends things differently which leads to different belief systems, religions, political views, and pretty much anything that we go through in life. Mistranslations bring misunderstanding; the power of our minds allow us to interpret the Bible how we see fit, and how we feel it may benefit us the most. For those who don’t know this just so happens to be the second or third time that “Family Radio” has predicted “Judgment Day”, “Armageddon” also happened in 1994 or at least they thought it would. Don’t worry about the day or hour of “Armageddon”, if you truly believe in something worry more about what you’re doing with your time to solidify your place with the religion that you follow.

Just remember these last two quotes…
Matthew 24:36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Matthew 24:42-44 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this; if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
