At a time where Rap was still about who was lyrically the nicest, and street battles were a internet craze Philly rappers were rising, and had a few heavy names ringing. Around 2005 names like Reed Dollaz, Joey Jihad, and Cyssero were the main components of Philly's underground scene. Reed set the pace, but Jihad soon took that torch from his rival and had Philly on lean for awhile but now some of them are kind of forgotten since Meek Mill surpassed his once friends.
