Farewell to Brandon Roy

27 year old Shooting Guard for the "Portland Trailblazers" has announced on December 9th 2011 that he has retired from the NBA after only 5 short seasons due to cartilage damage to his knees. B-Roy had his worst career season last year only scoring 12.2 points a game, which was also due to his surgery. Brandon's highest career season was 2008-2009 where he scored 22.6 points a game. Brandon Roy was a key part of Portland's NBA franchise, and it's sad to see a star of his caliber go so early.

  • NBA Rookie of the Year in 2007.
  • NBA All Rookie First Team in 2007.

  • He set his career high in points against the Phoenix Suns on December 18th 2008 with 52 points.
