@MartyaLaMode: - Life Without the NBA

Article Theme Music

........................... Don't mind those dots; I was trying my hardest to write this article up without having to shed tears. I'm sure by now everyone knows the NBA is still going through its "Lockout" phase, and for the evil women who prayed for this to happen but don't know what it is I'll explain.

Lockout - intentional closing up of a company, factory, or shop by an employer to prevent employees from working during a strike or labor dispute.
2. The withholding of employment by an employer and the whole or partial closing of the business establishment in order to gain concessions from or resist demands of employees.

This lockout has been going on for about four to five months now, which has resulted in NBA players basically being out of work. This is about the fourth NBA Lockout that has happened, but this is the first one that'll actually affect me the most. Some people still don't comprehend the severity of this lockout, and the damages it can cause. As of this morning, it looks like we won't be having an NBA Season this year. Since there hasn't been an agreement to start the season, maybe after reading this everyone will understand what can occur without an NBA Season this year.

Delonte West:
Now Delonte West was one of the first NBA players to let the public know that he was applying for a regular job due to the lockout. Delonte applied at"Home Depot", which made me realize how crazy this lockout really is. Delonte isn't someone I would want to help me out in the tool department or any department for that matter. Do you know how stressful a retail job can be!? Back in 2009 Delonte was caught riding a motorcycle with a gun on his waist, his leg, and another one in a guitar case as if he was Antonio Banderas in "Desperado". Do you want a man who was riding a motorcycle with guns like he was the Terminator on a beautiful sunny day to be answering your questions after he's been working overtime or getting his lunch break cut short!? I didn't think so.
DeShawn Stevenson:Look at this guy, I shouldn't even have to explain this one. Does DeShawn look like someone you would want to stop from getting money, so why would David Stern not want this guy to work!? The Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA Championship in their franchises history, and then proceeded to celebrate in the rival team's backyard. The Dallas Mavericks spent more money than Big Meech, and your Top 5 favorite rappers all in one club combined. DeShawn Stevenson even got arrested a few days after winning the championship, now if you add the fact that an unsolved shooting happened in his home back in 07' we would all agree that he needs to stay in the NBA, not be unemployed, and away from us regular folks.
Gilbert Arenas:
Gilbert Arenas allegedly brought four guns to his team’s locker room, and pulled them out on one of his teammates over a gambling bet during the 2009-2010 NBA season. Now this is simple, if a man will pull out a gun in a NBA team locker room, imagine what this man would do in a Planet Fitness locker room in Brooklyn. End the lockout.
This is the biggest threat we face if there isn't an NBA season this year. The pregnancy rate for Brooklyn within the last 3 years has been around the 69%mark, are we really willing to see what it can increase to without the chance of seeing Ron Artest choking someone on the basketball court!? The closest thing we have to the NBA right now is still "NBA 2k12", but without the real sport guys are going to have one less excuse of why we aren't listening to our girlfriends. If my woman is trying to talk to me, what am I going to say "Not now baby, the horse races, and lacrosse games are on"!? She isn't trying to hear that nonsense, the NBA was Top 3 anti-quality time excuses. Quality time is going to increase to take up a larger portion of the average NBA viewer's day, which will in turn lead to more baby showers. Baby showers plus the life of raising a child are expensive, and how exactly is a man supposed to prevent or live that life with ZERO NBA games to bet on. David Stern I hope you're happy; you're going to owe A LOT of baby shower gifts.

It's said that 40% of the players in the NBA have criminal records, now do we really want to see what that percentage can be capable of doing if they don't have salaries. What's even worse is that the crime rate in itself may escalate, for lack of sports entertainment. You can also prepare yourselves to see some of your favorite NBA players in the clubs, even on ignorant Worldstar footage, or possibly in the booth trying to rekindle fake rap dreams. See you guys in NBA 2k12 on Xbox Live, where the NBA lives on.
