Vybz Kartel's former "Portmore Empire" lieutenant and protege Blak Ryno saw great advances in his career during the years of 2005-2010. After leaving Kartel's "Portmore Empire" Ryno faced the same challenges of staying relevant just like the groups other former members from Deva Bratt, Lisa Hype to Gaza Kim. Despite being as relevant or popular as he once was Blak Ryno definitely was the best thing to happen to that group after Deva Bratt was kicked out, and his music/voice played a key part in "Portmore Empire". "Thug Anthem" is an mixtape that dropped in 09' that features a collection of Ryno's work during the time frame of 05-09.
