Jeezy vs Ross

Originally I wasn't going to discuss this topic since their both artist with questionable street cred these days, and on the same label but people keep asking me my thoughts so here it goes. Ross' recent hit single B.M.F, and street salute to Big Meech & Larry Hoover has garnered a lot of attention, whether it be from the fans, the streets who questioned it, or the respect Meech had for the record. After the success of the record Young Jeezy released his own B.M.F record, which made sense in a way since he was an actual member of the group. The next question about Jeezy's record was whether it was a stab at Ross or not, but Ross threw those rumors away when he said he was with Jeezy the night before the record was released & he knew about it. That issue is no longer relevant but Jeezy has released a new record "Death Before Dishonor" which seems like an attack on Ross, even though Jeezy disputed these thoughts. Whether or not it was a diss to Ross, he has retaliated on "The Summer's Mine".

Here are my thoughts on the situation.

  • Ross' bandwagon is so strong now that I don't even think people will pay attention to Jeezy, even though he's actually affiliated with the Big Meech everyone "thinks" they are today smh
  • They're both on Def Jam and backed by Jay, so I doubt it'll last long.
  • Ross overcame his C.O issue and is even bigger than before & Jeezy's street cred is in question for avoiding sentencing in the trials following B.M.F.
  • Who will stand out on top of this "Beef"!? I honestly don't care, I respect both of their music & they both have more money than me anyway.
